Like our other lip balms, the main ingredient is castor oil, which gives protection against the elements. Next is jojoba oil which comes from the beans of the shrub like plant, simmondsia chinensis. Jojoba oil has properties similar to the now obsolete spermaceti oil. It moisturizes the skin because it has absorption properties similar to our skin's own sebum. Beeswax acts as a hydrating ingredient that increases skins essential moisture, and helps retain the other ingredients close to the skin. Mango butter reduces degeneration of skin cells and restores flexibility and is very similar in color and texture to cocoa butter. Other ingredients are vegetable glycerin, vitamin E, our honey.
